He is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Clinical Medicine at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and in the Postgraduate Program in Molecular Medicine at UFMG (Capes score 6) and is the leader of the Research Group on Prevalent Endocrine-Metabolic Diseases at UFMG. He is a professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Minas Gerais, where he works as a collaborator of the Academic Master&#8217;s Degree in Health Sciences. Member of the Department of Female Endocrinology, Andrology and Transgenderism (DEFAT) of SBEM. He is an academic editor of the journals PLOS One and Medicine. Topics of interest: microRNAs, hyperandrogenism, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), animal models of PCOS, new markers for diabetic kidney disease, adipocytokines, and bone
