In February 2026, master\u2019s student Juliana Cruz participated in an international student mobility program linked to the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Health Sciences at FCM-MG<\/strong>, completing a three-week academic immersion in Australia.<\/p>\n

The mobility was organized by Prof. Dr. Daniel Steffens<\/strong>, Director of the Surgical Outcomes Research Centre (SOuRCe)<\/strong>, a research center affiliated with The University of Sydney and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He also serves as the student\u2019s international co-supervisor.<\/p>\n

During the program, Juliana attended scientific meetings, visited surgical training and research centers, and presented preliminary findings from her master\u2019s research to the group\u2019s investigators, fostering academic exchange and international scientific collaboration.<\/p>\n

At the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, a leading oncology center in Sydney, she observed clinical and surgical activities, including procedures in urology and breast oncology.<\/p>\n

The mobility also included academic visits to the Faculty of Medicine and Health – The University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales, and the University of Technology Sydney, expanding institutional connections and opportunities for scientific cooperation.<\/p>\n

Juliana Cruz is supervised by Prof. Dr. Ana Paula Drummond<\/strong><\/a> and co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Leani M\u00e1ximo<\/strong><\/a> within the Graduate Program in Health Sciences at FCM-MG.<\/p>\n

This international student mobility initiative reinforces the Program\u2019s commitment to high-quality scientific training, global engagement, and the advancement of evidence-based health research.<\/p>\n
